Kathy's Garden
(Bay filly 2005 Touch Gold - Lola Hill by Gone West)

With the conformation, athleticism and pedigree to be a top racehorse, her sire, Touch Gold, was one of the best horses of his generation. He won the classic Belmont Stakes (G1) and thwarted the Triple Crown bid of the legendary Silver Charm. In a short career at stud, Touch Gold has already proven to be a sire of Grade 1 winners and he stands for a stud fee of $50,000.

Kathy's Garden's dam Lola Hill is a daughter of  leading broodmare sire Gone West. The dam sire is by the immortal Mr. Prospector and out of a Secretariat mare. Lola Hill has already produced two winners including a two-year-old of this year.  As a matter of fact, this pedigree "nick" is already proven. The winner of the Tampa Bay Derby-G3, Region of Merit, is bred exactly like Kathy's Garden. He too, is by Touch Gold and out of a daughter of Gone West.

Bob Benoit SOLD OUT
(Bay colt 2005 More Than Ready - Mild Maggie by Dehere)

Selected by Bongo Racing Stable at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, this More Than Ready colt has the look of a racehorse.  He posesses great balance, a nice shoulder, a good eye and very correct front legs. This colt is by the same sire as our impressive maiden winner Rush Rush, who ran 4/5 of a second off the course record in his Oak Tree debut. Bongo Racing also campaigned More Than Ready's first stakes winner, Ready to Live, so we feel it is both a solid and lucky combination.

This colt, from the family of top turf horse, Johnny's Image, has been named in honor of famous racing photographer Bob Benoit, whose company Benoit & Associates has chronicled many of Thoroughbred horseracing's greatest moments. Bob has been named the inaugural winner of the Laffit Pincay Jr. Award.

The Hall of Fame rider said, "It is a thrill for me to give the first Pincay award to Bob Benoit, a man who has dedicated his life to horseracing."

Benoit was so thrilled to have our colt named for him, he became a Bongo partner upon hearing the news.
